Trump’s common sense has got him another four years in the White House
Four thousand years, Qingshi Huangdi, the Chinese emperor mobilised the whole of China and united a fragmented land into one single state; and yet, like annoying mosquitoes, the runaway nomads waged a war on the state with the aim to shatter it into pieces. The emperor summoned the wisest people from all corners of the country and asked them to find the best way to deal with the situations. Days and months passed, hundreds of proposals put forward, thousands of debates conducted, but, no one was able to come up with an effective and practical solution. In the end, the emperor was deeply disappointed; he made a famous speech to all concerned before expelling them from the palace and sending them home:
“Gentlemen,
You are nothing but a useless bunch of people, you are capable of none other than picking faults and fights with your country. You are smooth in tongues in criticising, you are apparently deep in thoughts in public as if you lost something in the street, and yet, when you are asked to come up with a concrete solution to a real problem, you are just as shallow as a pancake pan. The problem is real, that is, to protect your own house from thieves, your own country from enemies, and yet, you do not even understand the problem but you are telling me that the problem is complex.
Were I to listen to your nonsensical debates, criticisms and arguments for more days, enemies would show up and smash the doors of families in my kingdom; and they would surely join you in your useless debates and arguments. Unless I shut you up now, your tongues risk being cut not by the sword of justice but by those enemies.
So, go home, each of you, and let me see no more of your insolent faces!”
Four years ago, Trump ran for the presidency. He was faced with nothing less than mosquitoes and nomads in various forms. He built a Great Wall in his soul in his determination to shut out undesirables and win the top job. He got it!
Now, he is using that common sense to have another term in the White House. Businesses in Yiwu, the Chinese city, renowned for its never failing forecast of major historical events, are already celebrating his re-election and shipping Trump themed merchandise in preparation for the big day.
So, Trump, an eye-opener opens eyes in years to come!
